However, we believe in this project and we have already seen what it has done to help improve the lives of many children.... I should know, I was one of them! I was given that same opportunity, and since then have never looked back.

The streets of Soweto are vibrating with an enormous amount of energy from the children. Little souls playing on the streets 'til late at night, always looking for something to do to occupy their minds. All they need is proper guidance. My aim is to provide the children with an opportunity to grow through music. I hope that music will be an element of their lives which can inspire them to become better people, regardless of whether they want to become artists, doctors, teachers, accountants, etc. Therefore, it is for this reason that Melodi Music Trust was founded.

I have watched, amazed, as the Melodi Music project has grown from very small beginnings to a vibrant, well led, and inspired project. The pupils have played at several functions, and concerts. Those who hear them are blown away by their dedication and skill.
