Descant
and Alto recorders are the primary instruments, followed
by Tenor and Bass recorders. |
| |
On
reaching the required level of playing the recorder, pupils
advance to orchestral instruments. |
| |
Pupils
are provided with an instrument of their own for practice
purposes. |
| |
Advanced
pupils receive private lessons during the week on a one-to-one
basis. |
To-date,
the project has been able to produce a recorder ensemble,
which is frequently requested to play at functions, and has
also recently held successful concerts in Soweto and Johannesburg.
Currently they are well known for their captivating sound
produced on a consort of recorders.
Since
the beginning of 2005 through sponsorship and donations
in
kind, we have been able to advance students to Flutes, Oboes,
Clarinets, Bassoons, Violins, Cellos and Double Basses.
